Our Story
Snowie Northern Illinois was founded in 2024, serving its first shaved ice in September and bringing sweet treats to the local community and beyond. Currently, the business operates throughout Lake County, Illinois, and expands into neighboring counties as opportunities arise.
The warehouse and commissary are situated in Beach Park, Illinois, where syrups are crafted, products are stored, and mobile equipment is cleaned and distributed across the region.
Additionally, the Beach Park location features a retail store where you can enjoy a shaved ice, purchase syrup by the pint, quart, or gallon from a selection of 33 flavors, and buy any supplies needed for your shaved ice experience. You can also rent equipment for your private events at the Beach Park store.
Melissa, Gabe, and Mike embarked on a mission to find a business that would allow Gabe to dive in and make a meaningful impact in their community. They also aimed to give back to their community by collaborating with nonprofits to expand their fundraising initiatives. Additionally, Mike desired to create a pathway for individuals to start their own entrepreneurial journeys by pinpointing a straightforward and profitable business with minimal barriers to entry.
He also sought to lessen the financial load by leveraging existing infrastructure and uniting a group of entrepreneurs to work together. This vision ultimately led them to the shaved ice business—an endeavor that is both cool and refreshing, aligning perfectly with their goals.
By partnering with Snowie, renowned for its high-quality equipment and branding, they quickly turned their frosty dream into a reality, all in the time it takes to say “sno-cone!”
